53 speed cameras to be reviewed

The Ministry of Public Infrastructures has launched an Expression of Interest for local and international firms to conduct an audit of all existing speed cameras across the country. The objective: improving the system. Interested parties have until February 13 to express their interest.

The estimated cost of this exercise is Rs 180 million. Of the 55 speed cameras installed in the country, 53 are operational, the two others located in Valton and Crève-Cœur on the Terre Rouge-Verdun highway are not operational since January 2015.
